Problem
– Renovated in 2010, the Henry Hudson Bridge lower level was supposed include a bike path, but it was constructed too narrow to permit cycling.

Solution
In 2012, four (4) toll booths lanes were consolidated into three (3) EZPass lanes plus a breakdown lane. Re-allocate the breakdown lane towards expansion of the bike-ped path.
Benefits
– Would create the only bike-able connection between the Bronx and Manhattan north of Yankee Stadium.
– Afford Riverdale residents access to the waterfront along Inwood Park.
– Comprise a critical component of the Hudson River Valley Greenway at considerably less expense than cantilevering.
